Congress Venue
The Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre (MECC) is a state of the art facility superbly situated on the banks of Melbourne's Yarra River, close to the heart of the central business district and just 30 minutes from Melbourne's International Airport. The principal professional body for exhibition organisers - the Association Internationale des Palais de Congress - named the MECC its inaugural World's Best Congress Centre.
Within Australia the MECC is regarded as the premier venue of its kind, being awarded the Meetings Industry of Australia's highest honour several times. As you would expect from a World's Best Congress Centre, the sound, video, staging, and telecommunications equipment are at the leading edge of technology, and in the culinary department Executive Chef Frank Burger ensures meals served at the MECC are of a standard commensurate with the overall excellence of the venue.
